Student Coaching provides strategies to students that gives them the confidence to persevere through challenging circumstances.
With a variety of reliable and proven strategies available to them, students are motivated to challenge themselves to achieve and grow into the best version of themselves (socially and academically).
While students are facing adversity due to their diagnosis, life circumstance and/or mental health, when students are successfully equipped with strategies they are more likely to find success.
Student Coaching allows the student to gain self awareness, which gives the students a voice to advocate for their needs. Self Advocacy allows for relationships to be built with themselves (self confidence), family, friends, teachers, etc.
Research is proven that Student Coaching increases graduation rates at the college level.

PROFESSIONALLY
I am a special educator with 21 years of experience in both the public and private sector. The first 9 years were spent serving students with various learning disabilities, including ADHD, anxiety, specific learning disabilities in reading, writing, math, speech and language disorders, cerebral palsy, down syndrome and autism in pre-kindergarten through 5th grades in the public school sector. The most recent 11 years have been serving students with ADHD, anxiety, mild to moderate learning disabilities, including specific learning disabilities in reading, writing and math and slow processing in the private school sector (specifically College Preparatory).
PERSONALLY
My husband and I are proud parents of four beautiful children, ages between 9-23. As a mom I have walked alongside my children as they face the adversities of ADHD, anxiety and autism.
My passion is helping all people to learn and grow into the best version of themselves by promoting self awareness, self confidence and strategy support for overall success. My focus is on the whole person (social, emotional and academic). Taking the time to get to know the person allows me to reinforce and mentor them proficiently, empowering them to find overall success and reach their goals confidently.
